The Trump administration has separated thousands of children from parents who were seeking asylum at the US border. Due to propaganda spread by the GOP, Trump administration, and news outlets such as Fox News, the majority of the US populus has been led to believe that this is an illegal act.

In reality, seeking asylum in this manner is legal.

To this day, it has been admitted by the Trump administration that 1,500 of the children stolen from their families were lost track of. Reports speculate this number is actually closer to 6,000.

Over 20 immigrants have died in ICE custody over the last 2 years.
2 children passed away in December 2018.
Jakelin Caal Maquin, 7, died of sepsis.
Felipe Gómez Alonzo, 8, died of influenza.
