annairis I keep coming back to this album when I feel I need help getting in touch with and releasing my repressed anger and anxiety about everything that has been bringing us all down through 2020 and 2021. It’s not an easy listen- it’s a necessary one.
One of my favourite albums 🖤

about

“The New Flesh” is the second album from Deleted Narrative. It follows on from his debut’s tone and atmosphere whilst drawing influence from Industrial and electronic. The album shifts from anxiety to anxiety with a constantly evolving sense of unease with the intent to both seduce and distress.

All proceeds from this album will be donated to the charity “Reclaim the Block” www.reclaimtheblock.org

“With the death of George Floyd we saw many Americans take to the streets in outrage of the inherent racism within the American police, and the racism systemically within America as a whole. As an artist I always hope that what I produce can help people in one way or another, whether it be as catharsis or through enjoyment. As such I decided to release the album I spent the last two years working on with all proceeds being donated to the charity “Reclaim the Block”, a charity in Minneapolis that works to push the city council to invest its budget into helping the community rather than just policing it. I thank you all for anything you can give and I hope that my music can be some comfort in this terrifying time.” - Deleted Narrative

Edit: Reclaim the block has ceased taking donations after receiving a huge amount of support, which is fantastic news. As a result donations have now been redirected to one of their recommended charities: ACER - African Career, Education, and Resource (www.acerinc.org/about/)
